Homecoming Weekend 2018
Queen's Homecoming - and our 35th Reunion - is just around the corned. This site has instructions about the events and registering. Plans are now confirmed, and we can't wait to see everyone. Here are the plans for the weekend.

So what do I need to do?
Decide what events you want to attend and let us know by completing an online registration form at science83.com/register
Pay in advance using OPTION 1 or OPTION 2. (If neither of these options work in your situation, get in touch and we’ll figure something out.)
OPTION 1: Interac e-Transfer with payment through email. You can do this if you have online banking. Follow your bank’s instructions to send your payment to tickets.science83@gmail.com . You’ll need to create a security question and you’ll have to let me know how to respond via a separate email to tickets.science83@gmail.com
OPTION 2: Contact Charmaine at tickets.science83@gmail.com and she will provide details for mailing payment to her home address.
- If you want to, sign up for the All ’83 House Party at jack.org/queens83. Note that this event goes beyond Science ’83, so isn’t included on our registration form. The event will fill up fast, so don’t delay! Please consider supporting jack.org even if you aren’t attending the House Party.
- Queen’s registration for Homecoming is now open. Visit the Homecoming page at queensu.ca/alumni/homecoming and you can register from there. Football tickets go on sale through Athletics starting August 1st.
- Help spread the news! Sign up for the Science ’83 Facebook group. Forward this letter to other classmates and encourage them to register. Facebook.com/groups/science83.

Class Giving Initiative Update
In celebration of our 35th Reunion please consider making a contribution towards the University. Two suggestions are:
The Mark Latham Award Fund: You've done a great job in making this fund a true reflection of the memory of Mark and the close relationship we have across the class of Science '83. The fund was established in 1989 in Mark's memory and it has grown to become the 8th largest endowed fund of the 65 within the Faculty and the 11th largest of the 164 across the University. As of April 30, 2012 the capital balance was $269,323 with $12,460 disbursed last year to three well-deserving students. There have been 24 award recipients since the Fund was started.
The Dean's Excellence Fund: This discretionary fund supports a broad number of initiatives, including student research and special projects, as well as equipment needs: all working together to further our vision of educating leaders for the 21st century.To make a gift to either of these funds online, please visit https://www.givetoqueens.ca/appsci83.
